I'm Looking to whip up a quick GUI for a piece of HW I'm controlling over socket communication. Any one have a suggestion for a simple lightweight GUI framework? Preferably something that has little installation dependencies. Primarily for use on *nix, but compatible with Windows would be a nice feature.

BTW, according to the Python Wiki: Tkinter is Python's de-facto standard GUI (Graphical User Interface) package.

I'm a Physics Major, currently in my 2nd year of college. I am a recipient of the ARCC Scholar scholarship, an Honors Physics program run by the Arecibo Remote Command Center (ARCC), a Radio Astronomy Research group within the Physics and Astronomy Dept. at UT Brownsville (see the link for more info). I have come to greatly enjoy the field of Radio Astronomy, and have spent the last three years with ARCC, participating in Pulsar Astronomy Research. For more information on my work, see my personal site (listed in the links section).

*EDIT* 10/11/11: Currently my web server is down. Will be restored soon as possible.

Place has been pretty great. Even rewashed my car after the first run didn't get all the bugs post-road trip. Towels are a little linty and their free glad cleaner isn't that great. But I use RainX and some of my own micro fiber towels. The free vacuums are great.

Tolerable place. Party package comes with $5 per child, but all games are like $1.50. this leaves you with $0.50 that really can't be spent. All the prizes are big items, with only about 15 items under 100 tickets. This means prize selection with small children is trying.

Great place. Staff was really nice and helpful, coffee was really good. Haven't tried the fro-yo, but hope to soon. Nice art on the walls from nearby studio, nice atmosphere. I agree that it could use some more outlets.

Was there for a party. Had the bowling for a party (bowling for an hour), and the lane broke. Was it for half an hour. They finally moved us to another lane, but they didn't refund the time.

Great family friendly place. Worked with me and my two kids under 4. They had a blast! Definitely with the trip.

Service was great. Waitress was really nice and scrambled to find drawing paper for my 3yr old. Food was really delicious.
