I'm Looking to whip up a quick GUI for a piece of HW I'm controlling over socket communication. Any one have a suggestion for a simple lightweight GUI framework? Preferably something that has little installation dependencies. Primarily for use on *nix, but compatible with Windows would be a nice feature.

Thanks!

BTW, according to the Python Wiki: Tkinter is Python's de-facto standard GUI (Graphical User Interface) package. https://wiki.python.org/moin/TkInter

Story
Introduction
I'm a Physics Major, currently in my 2nd year of college. I am a recipient of the ARCC Scholar scholarship, an Honors Physics program run by the Arecibo Remote Command Center (ARCC), a Radio Astronomy Research group within the Physics and Astronomy Dept. at UT Brownsville (see the link for more info). I have come to greatly enjoy the field of Radio Astronomy, and have spent the last three years with ARCC, participating in Pulsar Astronomy Research. For more information on my work, see my personal site (listed in the links section).

*EDIT* 10/11/11: Currently my web server is down. Will be restored soon as possible.

Service was great. Waitress was really nice and scrambled to find drawing paper for my 3yr old. Food was really delicious.

Decent mocha. Not a fan of the atmosphere, feels like a cafeteria. Wasn't there during any of the poetry readings our events though.
