New song, a guitar-and-fuzz-driven track called "Serendipity"! This was one of my personal favorites, because it turned out exactly as chaotic as how it sounded in my head, and it has a pretty robust lyric sheet for a rock song. (On the flip side, this song is one of the 12 reasons I couldn't fit lyrics into the album art.) Check it out!

Today's song from the upcoming Coeus album, Insomniatic Myth, is a loud one... and a weird one. "It Begins In Confusion" is a funky, experimental and electronic track, and mixes hip-hop with post-rock while carpet bombing it all with that Coeus industrial tinge (also known as excessive distortion). Think... Beck with Faith No More. In a fistfight with Satan... while Brad Pitt's narrating. (I'm bad at describing these.) The drums are also 70.2% beat-boxing, because, hey, I wanted to try it! (The .2% is because I sneezed, and it sorta sounded like a snare.)

The lyrics are all about the completely different people we keep locked away in our brains and the conflicts that ensue. I assume. (I'm bad at interpreting these.) Take a listen!

Album coming soon! Soon as in, "mid-May" soon! Until then, I will be releasing around 5-6 tracks from the 13-track album (because I'm a tease like that). The actual date will come once I officially announce it "soon". What is this then, you ask, if not an announcement? A WARNING! OF WHAT IS TO COME! BEWARE!

This is the second song on the next Coeus album, "Insomniatic Myth", and the first I'll be introducing to you. It's called Bright Side! To preface it: I love funk. The whole genre has an imperfect, groovy, percussive quality that makes me want to slap something (my bass, usually). I also love the loud, distorted, noisy squealiness of industrial metal. I was introduced to funk metal by Faith No More, held hands with Mr Bungle along the way, made out with Rage Against the Machine, and Infectious Grooves let me meet their parents. This is the Coeus tribute to my heroes. The song itself... it's all about optimism baby! You can find the full lyrics on the Soundcloud page!
