In the darkness, half way across the world I saw a fire burn. As I walked closer, the flames grew brighter and the darkness began to fade. I was still too distant, afraid, alone. For all I knew was the darkness. Finally as I approached the fire I lingered far too long for fear kept me back. Alas the fire went out. Now wandering in darkness I search for that flame which was so bright and shone me a path. Ever hoping that someday the flame will come back. For fear no longer holds power over what once was.
