You may remember back in 2013 a BBC show called Goodnight Britain. Michael Oko took part and treated Paul, a lorry driver suffering from sleep apnoea. He has recently been in touch and given us this update on his condition:

"Since been on the therapy with Mr Oko, it has dramatically changed my life for the good. It used to be a nightmare for myself and my long suffering partner Clare with the nightly rumblings of my snoring causing a severe strain on our relationship.

"The CPAP machine has got to be the best invention ever, I get on average 7 hrs sleep every night. I wake up feeling more refreshed than I used to before, no more coming home from work and falling asleep on the sofa, can even do more exercise than before plus I'm losing weight which is a bonus. Only down side, is that sometimes I do wake up with a dry mouth or sore throat, but that's nothing compared to getting a good night's sleep."

More ammunition in the case for tackling sleep apnoea and raising awareness. How much more evidence do we need?

Today in the Facebook Sleep Apnoea Support Group we have learnt of the very sad news of yet another 'healthy + fit' 35 year old mother of 2 very young children who had died due to untreated #SleepApnoea / #Apnea . Anyone who #snores   should be investigated, but bear in mind not everyone with sleep apnoea does snore! PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION POST.  Thank You!
