+Nite Kroller I'm using the clear Casemate on my 2014 Pure Edition X. Mines is white with the brown leather. Wish I knew how to attach photo to the commits. You can get the case on Amazon or your local At&t.

Why is there still no factory recovery image for the Moto X 2nd Generation Pure Edition Lollipop 5.0 build yet posted on Motorola's website? Seriously? The Pure Edition has been on Lollipop for months now.

Specifically here.

https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images

Seems like Motorola has done a 180° when it comes to the dev community. No factory images posted. It's sad. For about a year after the Moto X first was released it seemed like Motorola Mobility was a Dev's best friend. Recovery images were posted to Motorola Mobility website almost instantly. I remeber messing around with my Moto X (2013) Developer Edition and if I messed something up just using the recovery images provided by Motorola to go back to stock. But now Motorola has seemed to have turned their backs on us like Samsung. Fears people were having about the sale to Lenovo seem to have come true. Lenovo made a promise that Motorola Mobility would continue to operate as it had been. That has proved to be an empty promise. All the strides Motorola Mobility has been making to claw back into relevance can easily be washed away with this type of behavior. The development community really seemed to embrace the mid range Moto G and the cell phone community, sites like Android Headlines, Android Central, Droid Life praised both generations of the Moto X.
Do you Lenovo or Motorola Mobility actually think the average Joe Schmo phone buyer reads these reviews or even understand the uniqueness of the Moto X. We, the phone geeks do, and we embraced it and now feel abandoned.
Please right this ship Lenovo and allow Motorola Mobility to operate like it had in late 2013/early 2014. As it's going right now Motorola has become no better than Samsung or Apple when it comes to the Development community.

HTC has now become the most Dev friendly OEM.

I really want to buy another Motorola phone this fall, more specially the Moto X3 but if Motorola is going to turn into Samsung Jr then I guess it's time to find a company that will treat us right.

Dont slander Samsung like that LOL. Their skins may be ugly but their phones at least get decent battery life and aren't plagued by wildly inconsistent build issues. +Motorola Mobility is the company we all want to root for because they have so much potential and because +Punit Soni was a master of creating an image you wanted to root for, but they can't get out of their own way. They also fall far short of living up to their carefully curated brand image. Moto is the emperors new clothes. It's an indictment on the sad state of Android OEM that they are still better than most.

BTW +Motorola Mobility+Motorola Support Forums How's that moto keylink "restocking" going? It's only been 6 months. Are you hand carving them from bamboo now?

Mine and my wife's new Moto X phones. Seem so small coming from the Nexus 6.

+Tom Provoost I don't know how they chose who was in. It may be because I've bought at least two phones a year for the past 5 years directly from Motorola off contract, plus a bunch of other accessories.
I've also hassled Motorola on Google+ and Twitter a lot as well as a few Motorola Employees regarding some issues.

Sunset.... Photo is misleading. To the left are horrible storm clouds rolling in. Tornado warnings in mountains of Pennsylvania. You know the storms bad.

Function. Size. Notification works better on Moto X. Nexus 6 is to big when out walking/running.
I haven't flashed a ROM since January.

Honestly right now +Motorola Mobility is no better than +Samsung USA when it comes to Developer Friendliness.
