We are now closed on Mondays. Sandy is busy making sure the block area is ready to greet our visitors Tuesday (9/25) for Boogie Bash at 11am. Celebrate the season with fingerplays and creative movement activities including dancing with scarves and marching with rhythm instruments. #Movement #Rhythm

📗📙📘📕Storybook Theatre Sept. 21st @11am. Today is International Day of Peace. Miss Jan will be sharing 2 special books illustrating the meaning of peace from a child’s perspective. “Peace is an Offering” by Annette LeBox. This beautiful poem follows children who discover that peace is all around them…they just need to look for it! “What Does Peace Feel Like?” by Vladimir Radunsky. This inspiring book features children from around the world explaining what peace means to them from the perspective of the five senses. Introduce your child to the wonder of reading and instill a love of books at an early age. Shadow Puppet Theatre Sept. 20th @11am presents “The Peace Book” by Todd Parr. September 21 is International Day of Peace. This beautiful picture book explains the abstract concept of “peace” by showing all the different things that make up peace from hugging a friend to helping a neighbor.

Boogie Bash Sept. 18th @11am. Pirate Party ⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵
September 19th is “Talk Like a Pirate Day” so we will be “shivering our timbers” with fun musical activities including “walking the plank” as well as learning some child-friendly pirate talk! Available for young toddlers and children up to 5 years old, Boogie Bash provides children with a preliminary introduction to the space around them, encourages cooperation, promotes social interaction, develops a sense of rhythm, strengthens listening skills and enhances language development. No reservation needed. Free with paid admission.

Only a few more spots left in our E.A.R.L.Y. Robotics 🤖🤖🤖Workshops.Thursdays 10am-Noon or Thursdays 4:15pm-6:15pm. Created by NASA, E.A.R.L.Y. Robotics is a program introducing 7-10 year-old boys and girls to engineering, while developing a strong understanding of the basic fundamentals of building and mechanical principles.

We are excited to announce that the Texas Commission on the Arts has chosen The Woodlands Children's Museum to be a grant recipient for its Arts Respond Performance Support program! This program provides partial support to assist organizations in hosting artists from the Texas Touring Roster in their community. TWCM was selected as one of 107 organizations in 70 Texas cities. Funding will be used to support a visit from Le Theatre de Marionette. The performance will take place on Sat. Dec. 8 with the show "Peppermint Twist." We are celebrating Mexican Independence Day (September 16) and Hispanic Heritage Month with this delightful book that teaches children about the shapes around them while at the same time offering a taste of Latino culture.
