March is Social Worker's Month. Every Adult Day Health Services Center has a social worker working hard for our participants and caregivers. It is estimated that there will be a 34% growth rate in new social workers needed in the coming years as Baby Boomers move into their older years. (US Department of Labor, 2012)

Throughout the month of February the Senior participants at Tempe ADHS made conversational hearts. Today, with a little help, we surprised the young adults at Tempe by "heart attacking" their program before they arrived. We left a path of hearts from the driveway through the front door, then we placed hearts all over the entrance, on walls, doors, tables, chairs, on bathroom mirrors, the TV, and in hidden places like inside the fridge. The Young Adults LOVED it! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

The Tempe ADHS was hit with a "snowstorm" that ended with a beautiful rainbow that seemed to start over the Main Building and end over the Young Adult Building!  How lucky are we?!  :)

We all want a safer, cleaner more efficient home. That is pretty easy if you have unlimited money to invest in your home. For those of us that live under a strict budget, the South West Building Science Training Center will post a series on their Facebook page every Wednesday morning that will allow you to begin the journey to a more comfortable, safer home with a lower monthly operating cost.
