I've recently gotten a couple of commissions to do freelance cover art for other authors. I really enjoy doing these!

Just adding the new cover art -- many of you will have seen it before, but some of it has been tweaked since the last posting, so I put up the latest versions.

Maybe it's just an artist thing, but I do tend to identify with this - particularly during an unintended bout of sleep deprivation. Many thanks to +Nova Barlow for reminding me of one of my favorites on this foggy, muzzy day. ;)
This is Why I'll Never be an Adult. I have repeatedly discovered that it is important for me not to surpass my capacity for responsibility. Over the years, this capacity has grown, but the results...

Is there a way to rearrange circles on the 'Stream' list? The order they're currently in is SO not the order in which I want to view them.

If you put a character in front of one of the names, like *MainFeed, it will put it on top, but can't move them. Yet...

WOW -- THIS IS REAL! Even better than the Speeder Bikes in Star Wars! I want one. I am getting one. Only £30K and the price is sure to drop as production volume increases. Hover low over the ground, or climb to 10,000ft, at speeds approaching 300kph. Parachute included in the price. This could be the future of personal transportation, seriously -- if the safety fanatics don't stand in the way. ;)
It may not be equipped with a laser cannon but Stars Wars fans could soon get behind the controls of a real ‘hoverbike’.

Just makes you wonder what thing we're doing now (in food, medicine or technology, etc) that will horrify future generations.

I think the answer to that is GMO (genetically modified organisms) crops. Soybean and Corn is the worst.

Am I the only one who isn't quite sure who is going to see something when they post? Like, am I ending up in strangers' 'incoming' box? Am I accidentally emailing people I don't know with updates? (I've had people do both to me, but I don't know where the messages came from.) Then today I just realised that my posts can't be seen on my wall unless someone is logged in because I wasn't choosing 'public'....which oddly doesn't always seem to be an option. Erm... this is a little complicated.

Le sigh. Hearing you on this one. When I share a post, I usually just select the circles I want to share with before hitting the share button. It seems to work.

Introduction
I knew from age nine that writing would be my passion. Since then I’ve discovered many more, but none quite so fulfilling as creating a world, a character, or a moment and watching them evolve into something complex and compelling. I have lived in three countries and four American states, am a dual British and American citizen, and currently live at the base of the Scottish Highlands in a village so small its main attraction is a red phone box. In other words: paradise.

Best place to find me is at my website! If you want to send me a personal message, there's a handy-dandy place to do that there!
