- I get your point, but I think you miss one very important thing: income and revenue taxes. That's the reason why buying imports where local is good enough just increases the chance that your income tax will be increased in the future. I see that a lot locally. Sadly, it's a vicious circle, and not much we can do about it.Jan 4, 2014

- If the import is cheaper and / or better the taxes do not compensate for the savings. But if the local is cheaper and / or better or equal than yes taxes are an incentive to buy local. Remember, there is import tax or toll too.Jan 4, 2014
- Yeah, it's crazy. But China's population is so huge, even if they produced only proportionate amount of products to their population, it would still be 20%, which would feel like most stuff is done is made in China. :)Jan 4, 2014
