Honestly was so excited to find out what was everyone lined up for. I mean I drive by here 3-4 times a week, weekend line all the way to the alley for pie!!!! I thought, "oh hell yeah this has to be the best of the best & they got biscuit sandwiches!!!" I'm a bread lover & my boyfriend a dessert lover. So he to was over the moon excited to try some bombs a#$ pie!!! 1st visit, zero time to eat - in, we did a drive by for some biscuit sandwiches. Review: we got just that, a 4in. thick biscuit with 2 COLD bacon strips!!!! I'm a bread lover yes, but come on!!! Couldn't they have drizzled a little maple syrup, honey, agave or melted cheddar, something?! Or make it 4 bacon strips?!!! So we thought maybe it's the pies. 2nd visit, dined in their back yard set up for a chocolate pecan pie & coconut pie. Review: Why are they served cold??? I wasn't having a coconut cream pie which is served cold & if they are served fresh daily why again are they cold? I've never heard of a pecan pie served cold! My boyfriend the dessert lover, throw away more than half of his pie & I didn't want to be wasteful, took my half home only to put it in the fridge, forget about it & throw it out a week later when I came a cross it in my search for food. In conclusion, I still drive 3-4 times a week by Bang Bang, wondering "what are people lining up for?, Maybe 3rd times a charm?" For now I won't be going back.

Some of the best pie I've ever had - and without a doubt, the best biscuits. An astonishingly high-quality experience in a homey, yet spacious setting. An absolute must-visit.

Amazing pie store--a must stop for dessert or breakfast in the Logan Square area. I've tried an array of their pies, from their holiday Gingersnap Pie to their summer S'mores pie, and I have never been disappointed. The pies are freshly made each day, and you can that they are made from quality ingredients. The breakfast options are also incredibly noteworthy. The candied bacon is to die for, and is conveniently located next to the register to entice you to purchase it with your biscuits. As for the biscuits, they're made in a rectangular pan (vs the traditional drop style) but they are dense, buttery, and delicious. They have a rotating selection of butters and jellies that really make the biscuits pop. Whether you're looking for a place to grab a cup of coffee (that they roast themselves) and a slice of pie, or a quick breakfast, make sure to swing by Bang Bang!

The biscuits are dense, flavorless hockey pucks, the sausage patty was unspiced, undercooked and the tablespoon of jam could have been based on a berry or white flour, it was so gross. If you like whiteboy dreadlocks, pies without crust and the smell of the unwashed, this is your place.

The food and service here are great. I've given them positive reviews before. Last time I went here I used the restroom for the first time. You actually have to exit the main room and go outside through the patio. The bathroom is then off the kitchen / dish cleaning area. Both were not as clean and as good condition as you'd expect.

Pie to go the first time. Breakfast in the outdoor seating area the second time. This shop is one of the reasons that when I move to Chicago in the near future I'm looking for places in Logan Square. It's affordable and delicious and delicious! Did I mention that?

As a Southern girl who LOVES her biscuits, I was excited for my first biscuit at this joint. Unfortunately, reality did not live up to expectation. The biscuit itself has a mild sourdough-like flavor, but its texture is heavy and spongy (and not just because of the butter). It's a far cry from the light, fluffy/flaky (and sometimes buttery) biscuits I grew up with. That being said, the coffee was great and the sausage delicious. I'll be back to try the pie and grab a cup of coffee but not a biscuit.
