I wish Big History had been an option when I was in high school.

I need to curate my circles better.  Glad most of what I follow came from importing a circle someone else had curated/shared.  I always find lots of great content in the area of interest (tech) I have chosen to focus on here.

This does a great job explaining simply something I was trying to explain to folks a few years back at the height of the Steve Jobs is God craze, i.e., in my opinion Apple capitalized on knowingly spoon feeding their customers a temporary (albeit perfect and beautiful) solution to a difficult challenge.  My hypothesis: "[Native] apps are a fad..." - met with blank stares.  "Are you an idiot?  Clearly you have never seen/used/fallen in love with an iPhone."

I still think Apple makes beautiful products and sells the heck out of user experience potential.

I am more of a let's-make-the-world-open-and-connected kinda guy, although ironically I am not on FB so no one is reading this right now.

So, could some of y'all break some things and get on with this WoT or IoT or anything else you wanna call it Thing and for the love of god make it happen because I am getting tired of hearing how great it is going to be.

Curious how this relates to Google's decision years ago to launch Apps Script nearly entirely based on storing data in Sheets.  Of course, ScribtDb can be more useful in many ways.  I am undecided on this post's conjecture...not that I care one way or another...just excited to see the API Economy blow up in years to come (if it hasn't already).
