No, don't give Trump a chance.
Candidate Trump promised to protect entitlements, but President-elect Trump apparently has different plans.

Now Trump denies his cavalier attitude toward nuclear proliferation and attacks the New York Times for reporting it: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/11/new-york-times-trump-wrong-about-readership-231294 It was his lack of concern about nuclear winter that first led me to regard his election as an extinction level event: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_winter#2014

Offered without comment.
Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler gave Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s claim that he has “nothing to do with Russia” the paper’s most severe falsehood rating: “four pinocchios.” Media figures questioned Trump’s relationship with Russia after he stood by “frightening” statements that he would defend NATO

Not quite the peaceful place so long envisioned, Luna is under lethal bombardment that is already erasing the iconic Apollo footprints.
Meteoroids are striking the moon much more often than expected, says a team of Arizona State University planetary scientists. But no need to worry — at least until people go back there to explore.

Burr/Trump sink together
Richard Burr is best known for pushing bad security legislation . It has earned him widespread contempt because it would expose us all to harm without making anyone safer . That record argues against his re-election , and he is losing. His desperation is ev...

North Carolina's suicide dive under the leadership of Gov. McCrory and the NCGOP Death Dance Band which runs the General Assembly has led to re-consider the possibility that this planet's technological civilization is unsustainable in the short term. This article recently published in the journal Astrobiology extends that view to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. There may have been many like us, all dead: http://online.liebertpub.com/doi/pdfplus/10.1089/ast.2015.1418

Trump, fired to Mars?

Upon hearing the announcement from NASA of water on Mars, Donald Trump immediately proclaimed that as president I will build a beautiful pipe from Mars to California to provide all the water Californians could ever need! It will be a wonderful pipe, with wonderful water, and you're going to love the Trump Mars pipe and Trump Mars water. When asked about the practicality of a water pipe from Mars to Earth, Trump replied that, I can build beautiful tall casinos so I can certainly build a pipe from Mars. I'll just hire smart people instead of the stupid, ugly people running our government and ruining our lives. I'm not going to tell you more details now because I don't want to alert the Martians to my plans. #herrtrump
