A great way to learn vinyasa flow. Lisa takes you through a slow deliberate flow practice that emphasizes the fundamentals of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga and will prepare you for the Saturday Energize class. In this guided vinyasa flow class you will renew your sense of connection to precise body positioning while building the energy of a fun, vinyasa class! All levels welcome.

Students will learn the basics of yoga including: a brief history and overview of the yoga system, the different styles of yoga, the benefits of practicing, how to do postures or poses, how to modify poses and use props (blocks, blankets, and straps), as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. After completing this workshop, students will be prepared and feel comfortable taking classes at heartSTONE studio.

Blocks? Bolsters? Straps? What are THOSE!? If you've got the whole mat, hands and feet thing figured out maybe it's time to check out props! Experiencing your practice with the assistance of props can help you bring your practice to the next level. If you've used props before and want to learn more ways - or if you've never even thought of using a prop this workshop is for you! We'll discuss options for props in active and restorative practices. This is appropriate for all levels.

YIN/YANG yoga will move you through a sequence of YIN postures creating pliability and suppleness in the muscles and the joints and calm the mind, followed by YANG postures generating heat and intensity to build strength in the body and focus in the mind.

Yoga Happy Hour is a chance to enjoy a great yoga class, good company, yummy food libation.

Anxiety can happen to us every day- whether we experience deep/chronic anxiety from PTSD or trauma, or experience every day stress which leaves us feeling anxious worried and tense, Yoga is one of the best ways to begin to release this tension from our bodies and learn different tools from our practice that we can use to calm ourselves and re wire our thinking during these anxious moments. In this workshop, we'll explore ways anxiety affects us, breath techniques we can use to bring us back to calm and quiet; We'll explore, through some brief meditation, how to recognize anxious thoughts and not react to them; We'll practice some gentle yoga postures to move circulation and energy through our physical body and end with some restorative postures. Appropriate for all levels.
