The proposal deadline is EXTENDED to March 10, 2014

The Innovation Zone Summit 2014 Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal for the 3rd Annual Innovation Zone Summit to be held August 6-7, 2014 at Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, Minnesota.

The Innovation Zone Summit, a partnership between Mankato Area Public Schools, Saint Peter Public Schools, Waseca Area Schools, and Minnesota State University, Mankato, is designed to bring together groups of educators interested in exploring instructional technology resources and instructional strategies to increase student engagement and achievement. We seek interactive sessions that engage and inform participants. 

Presenters and facilitators from the following areas are encouraged to submit proposals:

PreK-3 Teachers     |     Grades 4-6 Teachers     |     Grades 7-12 Teachers     |     Educational technology leaders     

Instructional technologists     |     Media & technology specialists     |     Instructional designers


TOOLS OF ENGAGEMENT

The Innovation Zone Summit is devoted to using emerging and innovative uses of technology that are designed to engage students and improve teaching.  The summit will accept presentations that offer participants real solutions, pioneering practices, and future trends. Summit strands highlight and demonstrate research, best practice application, and emerging trends involving technology to advance teaching and engage students in rigorous learning experiences.
