In early November, two Lone Immigrant Soldiers, Maria Kol Yaakov and Tony Raichler, traveled to America to promote the Wings program. Accompanied by Adi Boblil and Sarah Drill Fainshtain from the Merage Israel team, the four traveled around the East Coast. Maria and Tony shared their personal stories at various events with the goal of raising funds for the program.

The Jewish Journal recognizes the entrepreneurial and philanthropic spirit of David Merage, highlighting projects he has initiated both locally and abroad. The Andre and Katherine Merage Foundation is pleased to share the success of the Yitzchak Shavit High School in Sha’ar Ha Negav in Israel. Since the school opened its’ doors in 2010, they have continued to expand, currently serving over 1,200 students. With guidance from 153 teachers, students have more than 15 different majoring options and a variety of courses to choose from.
