Welcome to PaintIt Club™ – including PaintIt Saturday™
PaintIt Club and PaintIt Saturday were originally created, designed and maintained by Alexius Jørgensen . Richard Mabb took over the PaintIt Club operation in May, 2012.
PaintIt Club is maintained
by Richard Mabb with the help of Celso Carvalho, Clare Bambers, Rick Leaf, Carol Small, Astrid Bartels, Milena Ilieva, Stefan Kierek and Elin Vaeth.
PaintIt Club has historically been a place where artists, painters, photographers and other creators have gathered to showcase their work.
Within this site, you'll find abstract paintings of mythical dragons, perfectly textured black and white photos of people walking through tunnels, digitally processed images of flowers containing every hue of the rainbow, purple butterflies landing on lilies and posts to save animals from extinction!!!
And the beauty is... They all belong here!!!
PaintIt Club submissions can come from almost any source and be processed in any way. You can paint on canvas...take a photo of your work...and send it in. You can snap a shot with your cel phone and post that. You can start with a photograph and then "paint" on that and texture and process it using your desktop computer... It's all acceptable here!
PaintIt Club showcases well established creators...while at the same time, offering an opportunity for individuals who are just starting their online artistic experience to post their works and gain exposure to the public.
PaintIt Club's Team of Curators has many, many years of experience and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have... Just mention one or all of us in a post and we will definitely get back to you quickly!
Perhaps the most important characteristic that has contributed to the success of PaintIt Club over time is the "curating" or "commenting" on every piece of work submitted. We try exceptionally hard to comment on your work as quickly as possible. But beyond that, we try to give you "quality" commentary that highlights the strengths of your work as we see them...
As the saying goes... "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder", and so with artistic creations, there is no right or wrong way to paint or photograph...there is only "your" way...
We hope you enjoy your time spent here with us...
