Every day there are opportunities to change the world.

They may seem too simple, subtle, or small to make a difference... yet each one impacts the way we, and those present, see ourselves, the world around us, and the potential to create something greater than ourselves.

It is easy to create change when we remember no opportunity is too simple, subtle, or small.

Today KindLink launches its new free operational tools for smaller UK charities. These tools include CRM, online payment processing, and donation management, which enables donors to track the impact of their donations and charities to better communicate their great work. Met with the CEO this morning, and was impressed with their direction. More at www.kindlink.com

"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others." - Nelson Mandela.
Freedom and liberty are constantly in change around the world, for the people of each nation and the most vulnerable within each nation. Freedom and liberty are needed and necessary, and we must engage and stand up for anyone less able to speak out and defend themselves. Together our world is stronger and better.

We are close to dramatically improving, and even solving, many of the world's greatest issues. If we allow ourselves the necessary courage, wisdom, and conviction, we allow ourselves freedom from this cycle of history.

In the tales of Don Quixote, he does not perceive the world as it is; he sees himself remedying ills, defending the vulnerable, and bringing justice. For what would you attempt to tilt at windmills?

Federal Judge Dismisses Self-storage Complaint Against Rockville Mayor and Council Zoning Rule

Greenbelt – A federal judge Thursday dismissed a closely-watched challenge by a self-storage company to a Rockville city zoning rule that prevented it from building near Maryvale Elementary School on First Street. Judge Roger Titus, a former Rockville city attorney who now sits on the bench of federal district court in Greenbelt, ruled that Rockville Mayor and Council were within their rights to amend the zoning law. There would be an “enormous chilling effect” on every legislator in the state of Maryland if the case were allowed to proceed in federal court, Titus said at the end of a two-and-a-half-hour hearing. Titus said that lawmakers have “absolute immunity” from such lawsuits, and it would set a “dangerous precedent” to agree with the plaintiff that it was a“conspiracy” for lawmakers to listen and respond to citizens’ concerns.
