Deborah and I went to go visit Prince on Saturday.
He was covered in his caged to prevent spooking as there was a lot of noise from other animals. Vet Techs had a station, much like a hospital.
You can see from the video that he is medicated and not feeling any pain. Due to the dislocations and break, he has to lay on his left side.
Since he is a feral, we tried to be quiet and gentle so as not to scare him much. You can see he has the "startled and scared" kitty eyes. But he very much responded to the sound of Debbie's voice. If you'll watch closely, he shifts his eyes to her often and eventually relaxes. Poor boy.
His surgery should have been today but has been moved to Tuesday (other emergencies pushed his back). I'll ask Debbie when she's going to pick him up. He'll be on kitty crutches the next time we check in.
The VCA Emergency Hospital is AMAZING. I have no doubt they'll be able to help Prince walk again. I imagine there will be a need for metal plates and screws since his leg is that messed up.
Regarding the dislocations, I may have to Google what they'll need to do for those.
Anyway, check out the video and share!!!
