Hello GEG CHI!

#ICE18 will soon be upon us, and the Call for Proposals closes on Monday, September 25. If you have not submitted a proposal yet, please consider doing so at bit.ly/ice2018proposal.

Some notable updates for this year:

*3 days of General Conference sessions this year - February 26 - 28, 2018.

*Accepting 60 minute breakout sessions (presenter attends day of their presentation at no cost).

*Offering limited half day workshop slots for each of the 3 days. These are 2 1/2 hours and the presenter receives the day of the conference at no cost and a cash stipend of $100.

*Strands
Leadership
Library Media
Learning Spaces
Professional Learning and Coaching
Special Education and ESL/ELL
Teaching and Learning

In addition, we will have a room dedicated to sessions that will be Future Ready so if your session fits that, you can "tag" it Future Ready within the proposal form.

We are very excited about our change in venue (Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center) and we think that it will give a whole new experience to not only our attendees, but our presenters as well. We have many exciting things planned and will be announcing our All-Star lineup of speakers soon.

Hope to see you at #ICE18!

Best,
David & Amy
#ICE18 Co-Chairs

Hey GEGCHI, this was shared a few weeks ago, but there is lots to think about here.

Feel free to discuss, share, and brainstorm amongst yourselves.

How can we integrate computational thinking with dispositions early on in school so that students are set up for success in the working environment?
