Very useful but there is room for confusion at minute 52. Some camera/flash combinations apply exposure compensation setting to the lens as well as the flash; with some the cameras comp has no effect on the flash exposure, e.g., my D7000 with SB700. So, for his courtroom steps example, you can reduce exposure on the camera and the flash will automatically expose the lawyer properly. http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-And-Explore/Article/gx2q3tdc/exposure-compensation-when-using-i-ttl-gets-easier-with-the-d4-d4s.html

Here's a project I have been working on for 20 years. Annual photos of my family: http://mayogenuine.com/xmasyears.htm I took all with a timer or remote, except the wedding photo and the iPhone snapshot in 2011.

Tony, I enjoyed your 'through the years' page. I've always wanted to do some kind of family yearbook. Your approach is a simple and easy way to chart progress as everyone grows up. Thanks for sharing!

Scientific evidence and personal experience tell us that sincere, engaging personal relationships are essential for health and happiness. Yet, little is said about how we might actively nurture such relationships for ourselves and for people near us at home and work. My short book explains the how along with the why--and what gets in the way.

Available now as a 99¢ Kindle, read by me on Audible & iTunes. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=B00IRMFAL2/TonyMayosHomePagA/

One of the charming if not particularly useful features of Google Voice is transcription of voice mail messages. The charm comes from its habit of hearing, "Hi, Tony" but emailing me messages from friends and clients that begin, "Hi, sweetie."

Amid worries that we are becoming less innovative, some companies are rewarding employees for their mistakes or questionable risks.

I've been in many pawn shops searching for deals on camera & audio equipment. Top Dollar is much more friendly and helpful than any other place I have been. The service is personal and attentive. I was very happy to walk in with some gold jewelry that I hadn't worn in years and walk out with a great camera, some beautiful necklaces, and a few crisp twenties in the bargain. I couldn't be more pleased.
