Worst food in a long time. The risotto was hard to chew. Not real risotto it was rice in tiny bit of red sauce. Not creamy. The shrimp was also rubber. Worst shrimp I've ever had . The chicken wasn't cooked. They gave us french fries instead of mashed and didn't say anything because they ran out. Also ran out of 3 other items and didn't tell us. The bartender was so loud we couldn't hear each other. He was also talking about wanting to shoot people. And shoot dogs.we were in amazement how unprofessional he was and how careless the cooking was. The people next to us said their food was good and they had the exact same aS us. But they were the bartenders friends and they were so drunk they were barely speaking understandable. A manager did come out and pay for our food and drinks so that was good. They need to have a complete staff Change.

The food was mediocre. It was italian food to be sure, and it is rather hard to screw up boiling pasta. However the waiter we had was amazingly slow. For reference, I am a person that tips 20% on principle, having worked in resturants myself. Our stay there lasted over 2 hours we each had 1 dinner plate and 1 drink each, we saw the waiter twice the entire time. Not suprisingly our food was cold by the time we got it. At that point we didn't raise a stink, we just wanted out. Wouldn't go back, why bother with that much suffering when I can spend the same amount of time (actually less) and money and go to the North End and get a much better meal.

Very happy with our experience. We had a team dinner there and everyone had something different. I wasn't 100% happy with my choice of dishes. But- everyone around the table ordered something different. The owner, Marcellino, was present and was sitting down with patrons and personally checking on their meals/experiences. The restaurant was perfect for a group dining experience. Nice selection of wines, and a true Italian food selection. One team member complained that their food was cold- but- overall, the flavor and authenticity of the Italian food was superb. We will certainly go back.

I went to Marcellino for dinner and my boyfriend had won a gift certificate so we ordered quite a spread from the menu. The bruschetta appetizer was enough to share four ways with lots of mozzarella cheese. The caesar salad was also good with just the right amount of dressing. I ordered the fettuccine al porcini--fresh mushrooms and garlic and perfectly cooked pasta. Our only dissatisfaction was the pizza. It was okay at best, not overly flavorful and a bit too much oil.
