I love Zadin. It's very reasonably priced (good for my grad student friends) and very tasty food. I especially enjoy their soups. Bo Luc Lac is a crowd pleaser as well. I'm not a huge fan of their desserts though. Oh, the service is excellent as well - i love the main waiter, he is very friendly. Lastly, it's conversation friendly.

I love Zadin! It is one of the best Vietnamese-inspired restaurants in San Francisco. The Sate Chicken Noodle Soup is amazing!

Yes, the pho is great and it's half the price of the mains, but treat yourself to the shaken beef (cubes of filet mignon); it's the best thing on the menu.

Vietnamese food with a twist! I thought that the appetizers and pho were better than the main dishes. I'll be heading back for the Pho with Sate sauce.

I've eaten here many times since nearly everything is gluten-free or can be made gluten free and is clearly marked on the menu. It makes it a relaxing and tasty choice for dinner for me. I mostly get the fresh spring rolls (without the peanut sauce since it's not gluten free) and one of the noodle bowls. They are tasty and filling and not too expensive. Other people I've been with have had the thinly sliced lemongrass pork and the shaking beef-like dish--both were well-received. The service is also excellent. They didn't mind that one time my friend ended up tasting 3 of the ones before deciding on the first one the waitress suggested--I think it was a malbec. They even switched out her full glass of wine when she didn't like her first choice. It can be very loud during popular dinner times, but on a Monday or Tuesday it's a great place for a quiet meal. It's been a few years since I've been to the Slanted Door--I think strictly speaking Slanted Door had better dishes, but this is less expensive, more gluten-free friendly, and still very good!

nice ambiance and great service, the food was also quite good even though the desserts menu was not very abundant
