I present to you my new artwork called Hara series. You can see the videos and photography at www.stephaniecorne.com. This series is a set of interpretations of the grace emanating from the Self within the self. This is how I imagine a person looks like on the inside when fully balanced. The being within evolves in a beautiful inner home, undisturbed and of interchanging colors. It is creative and fearless. The dancers are allegories of that state of being. In my videos and photos, the dancers’ bodies are painted on with an emphasis on the hara. In Japanese, ‘hara’ is the physical and spiritual center of a person and is located right under the navel. The dancers rotate with and around their inner center in slow motion. You can read more in my statement on the website. Like it, share it and thanks so much for looking at my work! My special thanks to my talented team: Kevin Richardson for lighting and photography knowledge, Kuvonn Richardson for his editing, Birgid Volens for her beautiful music compositions, and the fabulous dancers Cassandra Martin, Julian Watson, Ashley Whitson and Erika Citrin.
