How does it hold up to sand combined with friction? This is the way one of my normal screens became scratched in the past.

Waiting for my glue to dry. Hopefully a dab of super glue is good enough. I used a piece of soft solder for my shim, I flattened it pretty thin. Thanks for the video, very helpful!

Not sure how you don't catch something like this if you are a news caster. I can't wait for Anchorman 2.

29 days into our billing cycle. Guess I shouldn't have streamed the WWDC keynote in HD on LTE. Haha

Some quick tips: Use a hair dryer/heat gun to loosen the glue under the edges of the screen. Use a guitar pick to pry the screen up (avoid screwdrivers unless you want to scratch and possibly crack your screen edges). Use some unheated solder to make your tiny shim. Cut it with an Xacto blade (very thin) and flatten it (solder is soft and malleable) to remove any burrs. Use a dab of super glue on the contact spot and place your shim with some fine tweezers directly in the middle of the spot. Let dry, test, and reassemble. You can use super glue to affix your screen back in place, it works just fine. I used Scotch Super Glue Gel, its thick, easy to manage and sticks strong.

Anyone know of a general install GUI that I can use to point to a RPi .IMG and install it to an SD card? The one mentioned in the show looks like it's only for Raspbmc.

You wouldn't expect a place this great to be located where it is but trust me this is worth braving the wilds of San Bernardino to visit. Great food, selection, atmosphere and service. If your looking for a quality all you can eat sushi experience you can do no better.
