What Can You Learn From Lewis Hamilton’s Winning Team?

You may have watched Lewis Hamilton storm to victory as World Champion for the second time – becoming a member of that exclusive club. It struck me what an excellent example of teamwork and team spirit this was.

Do you have any examples of great team work?

How do you recognise the achievements of your team?

It would be great to hear your stories and thoughts.

Why Set Realistic And Achievable Goals Only To Be Average At Best?

Have you ever had this happen…

You set a goal with lots of energy, enthusiasm and excitement. You even end up telling someone at work about it.

But for some reason you end up taking your eye off the goal – that’s when you start to see obstacles.

Snap, that’s what used to happen to me before I came across David. I read books on goal setting, attended webinars, spoke to my business mentor and my business colleagues. I still could not change my mind-set......not until after I met with David.

On the 25th November 2014 we have organised David to hold a seminar on achieving goals, it will take place at Peterborough United Ground Football Club registration starting from 8.30am.

Would You Like To Improve Your Competence?
You know what incompetence is – right? It’s a failure to carry out tasks/roles efficiently and effectively, usually resulting from a lack of skill or a lack of care. You can usually identify competence or incompetence by looking at the result.

So, if you can identify competence when you come across it – how can competence be conscious or unconscious?

Do you have any experiences which you'd like to share?

Have You Ever Been Harassed For A Debt You Don't Owe?
Ever received bills and demands which are nothing to do with you? Worse still – ever suffered the attentions of bailiffs and recovery agents for debts which are not yours? Believe it or not, some people have even paid substantial sums they don’t owe, just to get the debt-collectors off their back!

Link the link below to read on:

Have you had any similar experiences? If so, how did you handle it?

Will the debt collection industry improve as a result of the FCA regulating it?

I'd be keen to hear your thoughts.

Do You Think Sometimes It Pays-off To Stop Doing New Stuff?
As you may know, I’m very much a ‘taking-action’ man, continually urging you to do something rather than nothing. It’s true that I see a lot of business growth issues which result from inactivity, and so generally my advice is geared to ‘calls to action.’ However I read an article in the financial press a few days ago which made me think again. The article happened to relate to the investment market, but I think it has an application to business management as well.

Do you think it's sometimes good to stop trying new things?

Or do you think sitting back and enjoying a 'good-ride' can lead to complacency?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

How Far Do You Have To Go In Order To Exceed Customer Expectations?
If you read my blogs regularly then you’ll know how important I think customer service is to building a successful business. But there is a catch……..

Every time you meet or exceed a customer’s service expectations, you’re setting a standard for the future. In other words, you’re raising the bar. No matter how impressed your customer was with your customer service standards, in a very short space of time, the customer will regard this as the norm – so the next few times you meet the standard, she won’t go ‘Wow!’ – she’ll just think that this is what ought to happen. So far, so good, we all like to feel we offer a consistent level of customer service

Please do share your thoughts on customer service with me!

Scots As Brits? Yes Or No?
As you’ll know, the Scottish people will get to decide whether or not they wish to continue as part of the UK. It’s not my intention to argue the pros and cons here - especially as we in England can’t influence the decision. However, it did occur to me to draw some business parallels from the various arguments.

Please click on the link below to read on:

http://www.aa-accountants.co.uk/do-you-think-scotland-should-remain-as-part-of-the-uk/

In a nutshell:

Do you think the whole is usually greater than the sum of the parts?

Is small beautiful in your opinion?

And any comments on the devolution argument are welcome!

Are You Sitting Comfortably?
Then let’s begin!

Well that’s the traditional way of starting to tell a story, isn't it? The emphasis is on you – the listener – feeling at ease and disposed to listen to me. You’re in what we call your ‘comfort zone’ – and hopefully I’m in mine!

It all tends to create a very cozy atmosphere, with everyone coasting along well within their capabilities and preferences. What I’d like to explore with you is what happens when you step outside your own comfort zones.

Click the link below to read on:

http://www.aa-accountants.co.uk/comfort-zone/

Do you think it's a good idea to step out of your comfort zone?

Is it better to remain comfortable rather than to change and do all the hard work which comes with it?

What are your thoughts?

Kind regards

What Does Your Customer Avatar Look Like?

A mistake lots of businesses make – especially new businesses – is to think that all business must be good business. It’s important to analyse, particularly in any sector which provides services rather than goods, exactly what area you want to be in, and which areas will bring you the highest return on investment (‘ROI’).

Click the link below to read more:

http://www.aa-accountants.co.uk/your-customer-avatar/

Have you identified your ideal customer avatar?

If you have identified one - has it helped you win the type of customers who you were looking for?

Does an ideal customer avatar help?

I hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards
