Attended Hans Silver Jubilee Celebrations at Aiwan - i - Ghalib this evening. It was a memorable experience to have a word with the likes of Dr. Namwar Singh, Rajendra Yadav, Mannu Bhandari and Taslima Nasreen.

The DREAM of Brazil World Cup 2011 has been shattered, but not the hopes. The way India played last night despite damp field and continuous downpour and gave fight till the end was something which nobody can ignore. The scoreline 2:2 never throws the actual picture. One can expect something big in near future.
And kudos to supporters at Delhi's Ambedkar Stadium...patient as well as electrifying.

Watching a World Cup Football match involving India is one of the Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi....., which I wish to be completed before Dum Nikle. It will be decided this evening whether India will advance to next round of qualifying for the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
India is up against UAE in the second leg of Round Two of Asian Region Qualifying Tournament at New Delhi's Ambedkar Stadium. The match will kick off at 19:00 IST.
I have witnessed India winning three cups - Nehru Cup 2007, AFC Challange Cup 2008 and Nehru Cup 2009 and many more matches at the same Ambedkar stadium over the past few years. However, this time India need at least 4 goal margin to advance to the next round, which seems next to impossible, as the opponents are ranked 44 places higher than India in FIFA Ranking.
So this time, I am going to Ambedkar stadium, only to support Indian team, which gave their heart out even after reduced to 9 players for close to 70 mins in the away match against UAE some 5 days ago.
I will be cheering "INDIAAAA.....INDIA...." at Ambedkar Stadium. Join me there, if you can, to cheer Bhangra Boys....Tickets are as low as Rs. 100/- and Rs. 30/-....... remember spending thousands for worthless IPL matches.
In 2009, I met a person from Allahabad, who travelled 650 KMs, only to watch Nehru Cup final. And they say that Football can never be a popular sport in India.
Those who are unable to reach Ambedkar Stadium, can catch live action at Ten Action+.

#INDIA won the match against #QATAR by 2:1. Sushil Kumar Singh scored second goal for India in 73rd min, while Hamid scored solitary goal for Qatar. Morale boosting win for India as Qatar is placed 53 places above India in FIFA raking and they were playing at their home.

‎#INDIA drew first blood....leading 1:0 against #QATAR after Sunil Chhetri scored on a penalty in the 17th Min. Its 32 mins now in first half.

Started the day watching #URUGUAY ousting #ARGENTINA to reach semi-final of Copa America. Now #INDIA facing a tough opponent #QATAR at the Al Sadd Stadium in a friendly and planning to end the day with #BRAZIL vs #PARAGUAY in another QF of Copa America. Soccer treats to start and end an eventful day. :)

Its raining.....goals....First #ECUADOR equalized 2:2 then first Pato and later Neymar each with their brace #BRAZIL 4:2 #ECUADOR.
