I'm staying at the Parc 55 hotel for several days to spend the days before Christmas with my family. We're here to explore the SF area. The location is nice, it's right near Union square and city Hall and many other landmarks. My room is great and I don't have any issues with it, it has everything I would expect from a hotel. Maid service seems to come during the day and tidy the place up. My only issue I've found is there's lot of strange people in the blocks around the hotel, especially at night, which makes the area feel less safe. This is my first time visiting SF so I'm not sure if it's just this neighbourhood, but either way it's probably not something the hotel can do anything about. Overall I'm quite happy to be staying here.

The street noise issue raised by others is a real problem. We're not talking regular hustle and bustle here, this is a specific intersection with a bad gridlock problem. It seemed like every few minutes, at least two cars would lay on their horn at absurd length. It was so bad that I watched to see what was happening. Basically every light cycle, the cars on Cyril Magnin would block the intersection on yellow, hoping to clear it before the opposing light turned green. But the pedestrian traffic moves first, and it's so high traffic that the gridlocked cars get stuck waiting for pedestrians to cross before they can clear the intersection, which obviously necessitates the heavy use of horns by the cross traffic. It's obnoxious and it doesn't die down until late at night. This could probably be resolved by hiring a traffic cop or lobbying for better anti-gridlock signage or a change in the crosswalk timers. Additionally, no free wifi, and the sidewalks in this part of town are speckled with human feces. Really nice TV and bathroom though.

This hotel is very clean and the location is ideal......200 ft from the Bart! The staff is very accommodating and the security is always friendly and present. Although the hotel isn't exactly brand new it is well maintained. I will stay here again on my next SF trip.

Location is excellent. King room is spacious with a big window and a loveseat. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the walls are thin and I could hear people talking in the neighboring room.

Beautifully designed and furnished lobbies. Information person didn't know what events were happening at the hotel, but we found it on signage. Convenient location. The lighting in the function room was atrocious though, very 1980s-office. Bar accommodated our 10-person group with no notice and were able to seat us together. Excellent bar staff/service. Gorgeous city views and nicely designed. Plenty of different seating options.

Stylish hotel with spacious rooms. Room was clean and comfortable, and had a beautiful view (ask for a room on a high floor). Friendly staff and great location for exploring San Francisco.

Very convenient area. Great shopping nearby. Nice lobby and a very good breakfast buffet. Room was clean but very typical and not memorable. Had a nice view from the 25th floor but couldn't take pictures because the outside windows were extremely dirty. Not sure if that's normal or not but was a little disappointed about that. Staff was very nice.

Did you know? Chinatown is only steps away from our hotel! Have you visited the largest Chinatown outside of Asia?
