Sometimes you just have to lay things down, and later pick other stuff up.

We've moved. From outside of Hayle in Cornwall to Honiton in Devon. It wasn't an easy decision but we felt we needed a change. The garden was beginning to become a strain to maintain to the standard we desired, so, the house went on the market in October 2016. We had a firm buyer in March this year and completed the sale at the end of May.

Here we are in Honiton. We are renting until we can find a house we really want, we're prepared to wait for the right one. A smaller garden and a more modern property is preferred, our old cottage is 170+ years old and even though we renovated it, was costing us a packet to maintain.

Still, not our problem any more.

This is a large part of why I haven't posted for a while.

A frustrating loss at Franklins Gardens after a scintillating start to the game.
At least Jack Nowell is back playing, so there is some sunshine!

Bristols misery continues as Chiefs begin to put some good results together.

Hooray! The boys are off the mark. Five tries against a quite poor 'Quins. We''ll take 'em.

One big downside is the red card for Tomas Francis for kicking Danny Care with his shin. The first red Chiefs have received.

Well, a rough start to the season as Saracens look imperious.

The only way is up!

Not the best of starts to the season. Just like last season in fact, finish second in a two horse race.
Next week Saracens at Sandy Park. See you there!

The final pre-season game brings a good win over Newport Gwent Dragons 16 - 32.

I think the Chiefs are ready. Bring it on!

Second pre-season friendly and a hard fought win over Ulster Rugby 25 - 19.

Two more weeks to go. Can't wait.

Pre season friendlies started.

Those Chiefs are hungry with a 45 - 3 beating of Scarlets.

Back home after three weeks away on holiday. It had to be this season that Exeter Chiefs won through to the Aviva Premiership final didn't it. It wasn't the same learning about the result on my tablet. We would rather have been at Twickenham.

It was a shame about the result, but, well done Saracens. See you next season!
