Unfortunately I had lunch here today. Contrary to the description of speedy service listed on their website, we waited in line for 25 minutes to order. The owner, Steve, will not allow you to sit down before ordering (don't try as you will be accosted). After the waiter dropped someone else's food off at our table (before delivering it to their table) the food arrived 20 minutes later. The brisket taco consisted of a cold tortilla with beef and a small amount of pico de gallo - no cheese or lettuce. The tortilla chips with the salsa and cheese dip were stale and cold. If you want bad food served with a heaping dose of rudeness, this is your stop - otherwise, any food truck provides better food and service. P.S. When did beards on foodservice prep employees become acceptable?

Always a crowd and the unassuming decor is what I love. The shrimp corn chowder is delicious and I have it every visit. The fish tacos are a personal fave! I love seeing the owner involved in the daily operations. He really values his patrons.

This place is good. I love the enchiladas with the lemon cream sauce, and the beans are very flavorful with a nice kick. The margaritas are good and I love their outdoor seating. Perfect for a nice Atlanta afternoon.

TDS is still my favorite place to get tacos in the city. Yes. There are more authentic places on Buford Highway. I get it. But TDS is nearby, consistent, affordable and very tasty. I've enjoyed many meals and dishes here including the enchiladas, fish tacos, re fried beans, spicy turnip greens, corn chowder, queso, guacamole, salsa & chips and $5 margaritas. I do wish they'd double up on the turnip greens - I love them but feel like I'm being ripped off when I get a bowl of broth with a few turnip leaves in it compared to the hearty bowl of beans or other sides. When I'm really hungry, the line is annoying but there's great food at the end of the line. So, it's worth it.

If you want inexpensive Tex-Mex food with good margaritas, then this is the place for you! The line is always wrapped outside the door, order at the counter, find a seat and enjoy. It's got a very laid back, casual atmosphere and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal, especially in the summertime. When you order the enchiladas, they broil the top of it so the cheesy is nice and bubbly and perfect! And afterwards, you can head down to Jenis for ice-cream.

Nightmare. We went here as an extended family a while back. I was the last of my family to order and everyone else had their food and was seated. I sat down in an empty chair across the table from one of my family who already had her food. A man in an apron came over and forcefully, angrily told me to get up- that I couldn't be seated until I had my food. I stood up, beside the empty chair, beside my family who were eating, and waited. When the food arrived I was shaken and didn't feel like eating this man's food. When my (very reasonable and diplomatic) husband went to question the rules and complain, they loudly threw us out. It was the most bizarre and upsetting behavior from wait staff/restraunt owner I've ever had the misfortune to experience. Abusive.

Delicious tacos and enchiladas. The veggie taco is AMAZING!!!! If you live in Atlanta, be sure to go when they have the chile rellenos. It's usually around the end of August or beginning of September. They only sell them when the poblano peppers are in season and they are to die for!!!!

The only downside about this place is that it's so busy there is always a line!! Try the chicken enchiladas with beef chili, so yummy! Great trio of dips too. Don't be put off by the line to order, it moves fast and your food will be up in no time. Great place!
