Wanted to get a first-hand look at Occupy Seattle today so I just walked up to their house to talk with them. I'm not taking a stance on issues either way, but wanted to see and hear directly what is on their minds.
It was an enriching experience, to say the least. The first question I was asked was whether I represented an official media company.
They explained their "collective" society and their common vision. The most interesting aspect of my visit was hearing personal stories. They claimed to not have any or very little connection to the outside world (very few phones and virtually no Internet). They had not heard of the UC Davis incident, which was surprising.
If you have not personally met people from Occupied, I'd encourage you to do so.
