Life is a journey. I've been told my medical professionals my journey is impossible. How can it be impossible if I'm living it every day? I write about my 10 year and counting medical journey with the hopes of helping someone along the way.

I was fortunate enough to be featured in Daily Mail UK to raise awareness for EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). There are a couple things that are inaccurate. The title says I could barely walk for 4 years; that's not entirely true. I could walk. There were difficulties when in a neurological flare. All in all though, they did a very good job.

I love this quote. I think there's a lot of truth behind it.

I oftentimes get told to "just think positive" to not feel the pain as much. I'm all for thinking positive but I'm also a very realistic person. I'm not going to deny that something hurts. That would be like living my life as a lie. Being vulnerable has the ability to help. So, here's my reality. There's humor too. I don't think life should be taken too seriously.
