Good point, Pablos, but I think they did a good job assigning names to people/pages more likely to used them. I'm glad the Nmap page, for example, was able to get google.com/+nmap
rather than if they had saved that name for whoever signed up for email@example.com a decade ago and may not even use G+ or even gmail any longer. And they seemed to reserve names which match the ones we use for Facebook and/or Twitter, which is nice. I was a bit annoyed that they made me provide a phone number and do SMS verification to secure the name, then they added it to my profile with search-by-phone number enabled. It took me some time to find the option to turn off search-by-phone-number.
