Just in time for the weekend!  A refreshing batido de naranjilla, as we call in Ecuador, or Lulo Lassi (easier to say!)  Enjoy! #video #recipe #Ecuador #naranjilla #lulo

I'm still savoring these from last week: sweet plantain ravioli with chorizo chipotle sauce.  This flavor combo is ah-mazing!!!  Give it a go! #sweetplantains

Just in time for la Cena de Nochebuena: Relleno Guayaco.  This is my mom's recipe for Ecuadorian stuffing, which brings back so many memories.  As usual, each family has their own way of making it, but I think my mom's recipe is the best.  Ha!  Haven't you heard that one before!  Buen Provecho!

My new summer drink.
Has anyone tried Michelob Ultra Light Cider?  I had the chance to taste this new drink, and it was actually pretty good!  Definitely refreshing - it is HAWT in Georgia these days.  This light cider has a hint of green apple, which makes me want to try to make some green apple margaritas using it.  Read more about it here.

This makes me sad :(

Solitario Jorge passed away over the weekend...  I remember visiting the Galapagos Islands at 12 years old and going to a park where they had a giant Galapagos (the big tortoise!)  I think it was him.

Did you ever get to see Solitario Jorge?

Dulce de leche, toasted coconut and almond cake doughnuts...  Do I need to say anything else?  ;)
#WeekendSweets - I love alfajores (almond sandwich cookies with dulce de leche filling sprinkled with coconut flakes) and I also love cake doughnuts.  So, what happens when alfajores marry cake doughnuts?  They have Alfajores Cake Doughnut babies!  Check out my new recipe on T's Tasty Bits!  You won't be able to eat just one...

The crock pot makes these types of stews so much easier to cook. Enjoy!
My most recent Ecuadorian stew recipe - Seco de Borrego, also known as Ecuadorian lamb stew. For this version, I used a crock pot and it turned out fantastic! Let the crock pot do its thing and walk away!
