Editing Photos From Last Nights Beef O Brady's Bowl
I thought I'd share a photo of my view of last nights football editing session at the Beef O Brady's Bowl in St. Pete Florida. I went with +Scott Kelby
as an editor so I could upload photos live (during the game) to Southcreek Global Media, rather than wait until after the game. Last year we did the same thing but I shot part of the game too. Realizing that there's no way to shoot and upload, I left the camera home this time and sat in my cushy chair in the press box. I mean, a cup of raspberry iced tea, some complimentary jelly beans for press, and stat sheets delivered straight to me each quarter is hard to beat :-)
It's actually a cool setup. They have wireless available and you see people blogging and recording the whole time. I'd run down to the field after each quarter and grab CF cards from Scott. Then run back up, find the keepers, add metadata (mmmm…. metadata!), do some quick cropping and #Lightroom edits (no more than about 30 seconds per image) and upload with time still left in the current quarter. Last year it was pretty stressful, but I think I have the hang of it now and was able to have a good group of edited photos uploaded within about 10 minutes of Scott handing me the card.
Fun time though. Anyone that's ever hung out with Scott knows that the later it gets, the more tired we get and the goofier things, jokes, etc… start to happen. Looking forward to next time.
