I am curious. Do you need to interrupt because you feel the need, or because if you do not, you cannot say what you want. Is it a memory problem, or a will problem. I am not judging in this, as I want to understand the mindset more. I treat clients with Asperger's, and want to know how thoughts work. Thanks.
I just need to interrupt you there... It would be useful if I could insert this phrase in at least half of my conversations, because I really do need to interrupt. I need to stop what you are doing to start a small part of th...

Earlier this month, Kate Scribner, MSW, CSW posted a request on the Association for Women in Psychology’s discussion list looking for group space for a colleague. That’s when I asked each of you to help me crowdsource ideas to help her out. As usual . . . you guys came through! So . . . …

Despite our best efforts, it's virtually impossible to be in private practice for 20 years without making mistakes

Some therapists will tell you that cash-paying clients are rarer than sabre-toothed cats. So when I was hanging out in my Facebook group Private Practice from the Inside Out w/ Tamara Suttle last month and asked “What would have to be true for you to feel confident in moving forward in your practice today?” …

Choosing the best care on based 100 % clients needs, not case management is the gain . Carving a practice where you can do this is possible, and viable. Self reliance in any profession is scary , but you ultimately get to choose how you are going to achieve this.

My name is Tamara G. Suttle and I am a LIcensed Professional Counselor in private practice. I have known Marta Kem since 2010 when she was still a student in graduate school. Even then, it was evident that Marta set high standards for herself and then worked hard to meet and exceed those benchmarks. These days, Marta continues to demonstrate her passion for working with couples and her commitment to her profession. I trust Marta always to do the ethical and clinically effective things necessary to help her clients meet their goals. I never hesitate to recommend Marta to my clients, my colleagues, and my friends. If you are looking for a couples therapist who can show you how to put your relationship back together, I would encourage you to give Marta a call.

My name is Tamara G. Suttle. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of clinical experience. I have known Brenda Bomgardner for over 10 years as a colleague who does not disappoint. When I think about Brenda, the first thing that comes to mind is that she is 100% committed to helping her clients move forward in achieving their goals. For years I have watched Brenda hone her ACT skills to work with her clients and then begin to train her colleagues in the same clinical work. Today, Brenda is known and respected for her training in ACT as much as she is for her work in counseling. If you are looking for someone to guide you on your own journey through counseling or you are looking for someone to help you build your own clinical skills via ACT, I would encourage you to consider working with Brenda. She is kind, wise, and skilled. I trust her work and I trust her to do right by her clients and colleagues - always.

Love the work of Suzanne Smith, LCSW! I am a colleague of hers who has come to rely on her thoughtful clinical work. I have found her knowledge around adoption and foster care to far surpass my own and trust her for solid advice and clinical work in this area. I am happy to refer clients, colleagues and friends to Suzanne for counseling and consultation and would encourage anyone looking for these services to check her out! I know you'll be happy working with her!

I am a colleague of Dr. Ana Maria Sierra's and have found her to be nothing less than professional and resourceful. I would not hesitate to send my family member to her for professional care. It is unfortunate that mental health and medical professionals are ethically prohibited from requesting testimonials from clients and cannot rebut or even explain the circumstances surrounding public ratings such as this.

My name is Tamara Suttle. I am a LIcensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years experience in the field and have had the pleasure of knowing Traci Hart as a trusted colleague for over 10 years in a variety of professional settings. What I know to be true about Traci is (1) that she brings light and joy into any room she enters, (2) she is my go-to source for all things related to working with individuals and families affected by narcissism, and (3) she has the ability to change her clients' lives. I am happy to refer clients, colleagues, and friends to her. If you're looking for someone to walk with you on your journey, help you find your courage to make a difficult change, or simply need someone to bounce ideas around with, I can without reservation recommend Traci Hart, LPC.

My name is Tamara G. Suttle. I have over 20 years experience in the field of mental health as a LIcensed Professional Colleague and am colleague of Barbara Sheehan-Zeidler. I have known Barbara since 2010 and have consistently found her to be one of the most compassionate and skilled therapists that I know. I have attended trainings under Barbara, consulted with her, and have referred both colleagues and friends to her as a trusted source in the field. Should you have a need for a therapist who can laugh and cry with you . . . and then show you how to get out of a messy situation, I can highly recommend this therapist.
