More ways than you can imagine to cook with your #wok

In my #miamicookingclass I simplify weeknight cooking;

debunk many misconceptions about woks;

show how versatile a wok is and

most importantly that it's not just about cooking

but creating delicious memories!

All my fondest childhood memories are of cooking and laughing in the kitchen with my mom and sisters and then sitting down to enjoy dinner together!

Ready to be a Wok Star?
Sign up for class this Thursday, 2/16 at Italkraft Aventura! Link in bio.

Left clockwise: toasting fluffy paratha; frying crispy bacon; frying omelet; making French toast

Best #wokstar ever, my hubby makes us breakfast in our wok every weekend! My hubby treats cooking as a creative time! He starts with crisping up bacon and uses fat to fry scallion, cheesy omelets that are fluffy inside and crispy round the edges just how we like them! Woks are not just for Asian stir frys! Try it and tag #wokhacks to share your version!

Happy New Year! Yes, fried egg in a wok is how I get yolk so round, I sprinkled with Braggs seasonings.

Now butter is good again especially for prediabetics like me, it trains us to use fat for energy instead of starchy carbs, yay! I slathered butter on spelt toast, so good.

My morning elixir is my savior made with almond milk, flax Seed, hemp hearts, MCT oil and black pepper to activate turmeric (that's why it's yellow), oregano oil to boost immune system, strawberries, blueberries.

I compiled a list of Best Eats During Art Basel Miami, most are chef owned restaurants and a bit out of the way places. Delicious, value for your money and so worth it. As a cooking teacher, I'm constantly asked where I eat, so enjoy!

Thanks Florida Food and Farm for this wonderful writeup of my cooking class, always interesting to hear from a different perspective. This young, good looking guy is an attorney and in that class, there were 3 attorneys, LOVE them, they are my target audience. They are smart and know the faster they learn my easy roadmap to cooking, the faster they'll be able to enjoy cooking at home. Even though they can afford to eat out, they are fed up doing it. The other issues are not knowing what goes into their food and let's face it, it's so much more romantic to cook with your loved one!

I applied my Wok Star approach to Christoper Kimball's Milk Street Magazine's Wok Charred Brussels Sprouts and they turned out to be the BEST I've EVER tasted, hands down!

#miami Get #stormfood #cookingtips here! My portable kitchen consists of cast iron wok and gas stove which you can set up anywhere! 1) Fry onions, garlic, tomatoes with sausages 2) add ready cooked green split peas, chicken broth, fish sauce to add depth or salt 3) while that's simmering, make salad, voila! Still putting up shutters, whew! Stay safe Miami!
