And as if the world wasn't exciting enough, Star Wars day (May the 4th) is also Free Comic Book Day. We'll be spending ours at Metropolis Comics, doing our best to combine Star Wars with their super-rad Steampunk theme.

And while we're feeling all warm and fuzzy about VanCAF, remember that we're a non-profit event! Check out our fundraising page to learn how you can support us.

The VIP packages are going to be new this year, and will feature a mini artbook (with art contributed by our many guests and exhibitors), a print of the VanCAF promotional art by Steve LeCouilliard, a VanCAF shopping tote, three prize raffle tickets, two refreshment vouchers, and reserved VIP seating at all events in the performance centre!

VIP packages are $15 each, and there are only 100 in total, so get yours while you can!

The programming schedule for VanCAF 2013 is live! Look at all the fun things we're going to be doing. Fun things over there, fun things over here. So much fun!

Ignore those pesky TBA's for now. They are but a sign of something still great to come.

If any of you have been dipping your toes in the growing waters of open education, then you may already be familiar with this class on gender identity in comic books. If not, then we're happy we can be the one to introduce you. Classes include live interviews with pros like Brian K Vaughan and start April 2nd! (And best of all, open education is free!)
