Bustling restaurant with an old-country setting serving traditional Italian plates since 1977.- Google
"Good Italian restaurants are all about the freshly baked bread and olive oil."
"An obligatory side of penne didn't disappoint."

Great place; wonderful ambiance and reasonable prices. I'll be making it a regular stop on Hanover Street.

Brought some friends who were visiting from NYC here for dinner on a Friday night before the holidays. We were able to grab an open table reservation with 1000 points for 4 around 8pm which was easy and fast. When we got there we were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and prompt. We started with the traditional and mushroom bruschetta which were both great. The mushrooms were marinated and seasoned really well and added a different twist to a traditional Italian app. They had several vegetarian options and while a little on the pricier side ($15-25 for pastas) they portion sizes were pretty big so you got your money's worth. All in all I would come back here again.

I've only been here for large reserved group dinners (30+, private room). The menu was pre-set so I think my dislike was because I couldn't choose something to my taste. I was always full and satisfied but never wowed by anything. Chicken marsala is the best thing I had I think. The desserts are good but I get the sense they buy them in bulk and they aren't made on site.

Great experience and wonderful food. So happy we chose Lucia's while visiting the North End.

Somehow we were able to walk in and be seated at the last table upstairs on a Friday night. The caprese salad was an excellent appetizer. The bread wasn't as fresh as I expected and I'm with other reviewers in that the butter was served in cold foil packets. Our entrees were the stars of our meal, pounded chicken breast in a great wine sauce. An obligatory side of penne didn't disappoint. The red sauce was decent but basic.

Not a bad Italian place in the North End. food was decent. portion sizes were generous. If you get the bruschette, get the mushroom one!

We were in Boston for our 20th anniversary and walked in to Lucia for dinner. It was the best italian food we have ever had. Loved the atmosphere, be sure to ask for table by window. Butter wrapped in foil was a big disappointment as I think a restaurant of this caliber should not have pats of butter in foil!
