Last Tuesday we were gearing up for our 11th Annual Children's Awards, which thanks to the @philadelphiaeagles was hosted at the ‪#‎NovaCareComplex‬. Here's our President and CEO, Renata Cobbs-Fletcher presenting a thank you plaque signed by our kids and staff to the very awesome Community Relations Coordinator, Carly Pennachia. ‪#‎GratiTuesday‬ ‪#‎NCSNewDay‬ ‪#‎EaglesCare‬

“I just want a better life for myself,” Qutiera said.

We are featuring Qutiera Jones as our ‪#‎FeatureFriday‬ story! She is truly a remarkable girl who at just 14-years-old wants a better life for herself and despite all of the obstacles that get set in her path, we know Qutiera is determined to succeed.

Congrats on your accomplishments, Qutiera. We, at NCS, are so proud of you! Keep dreaming big and don't let anyone tell you any different!

It's hard to put into words just how ‪#‎thankful‬ we are for all that the Philadelphia Eagles have done for us throughout the year. So we made a video!

Take a look at just a handful of memories we made thanks to the ‪#‎PhiladelphiaEagles‬! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG6JTgUK-aY

It's been an amazing year and we are so honored to have been chosen for the ‪#‎EaglesCare‬ partnership! It has truly been a blessing to NCS. ‪#‎ThankfulThursday‬ ‪#‎NCSNewDay‬

"There is only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything." ‪#‎VinceLombardi‬

These inspirational words hang on the walls of the ‪#‎NovaCareComplex‬, where we had the honor and privilege of having our 11th Annual Children's Awards. Thank you so much to the Philadelphia Eagles and the ‪#‎EaglesCare‬ community for everything they did for us, not only for this event but throughout the entire year.

Congrats to all of our children, youth, young moms and families who were honored at this event. Thanks for giving it everything. You are an inspiration! ‪#‎WednesdayWisdom‬ #NCSNewDay

Many of our children and youth just need to know that they have people who support them and believe in them.

For Qutiera, this month's featured ‪#‎successtory‬, she found that support system in the School Therapeutic Services (STS) staff at ‪#‎RooseveltElementary‬, including Miss Lisa and Miss Tara. This sign actually hangs in the STS classroom at Roosevelt as a reminder to all of the children and youth we serve.

"When asked what she would tell other children who are entering the STS program and are possibly feeling a little lost, she replied, 'The staff turned my life around. Listen to Miss Tara and Miss Lisa. They take time to listen to you. They care.'"

“She really is amazing,” said Tara Wilson, STS Clinical Manager at #RooseveltElementary. “She has a lot of potential to do anything she wants. It’s so refreshing to see an adolescent be so independent.”

We are so excited to share this story about one of our graduating School Therapeutic Services (STS) students, Qutiera Jones, who is a true inspiration!

We have to dedicate this #ThankfulThursday to our friends and supporters at IKEA USA!

This frame was signed by our staff and young mothers but as Renata mentioned in her note "Thank You" is truly not enough! Words cannot express how #thankful we are to have #IKEA on the NCS team! #ThankYouIKEA #NCSNewDay
