I would definitely come back to this resort. There is plenty to do and the beach is beautiful. The grounds are very well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good and the shows are entertaining. I enjoyed my stay and would return.

The hotel is very nice and the amenities are great. However, we did run into an issue with our room. We requested a king size bed and instead got two fulls for which my wife and myself had no use for. In addition, we were placed in the family section without our consent and when we brought up these issues with the manager she claimed that there was nothing she could do and if we wanted access to the adult section we had to pay additional money per person. She also gave us attitude from the get go. Other than that, this hotel was great. Food is good, drinks are strong, and there is a lot to do.

I've been to Mexico many times and I have to sadly say this trip was not very good, especially for the amount of money I paid. The elevator was broken in my building and I got stuck in another one. The faucet fell off in my room causing hot water to burn my left side. The food was gross and the distance from my room to the main attractions was way too distant, especially when I never saw the gold cart transports. I complained everyday and nothing was done. I wasn't even compensated for the inconvenience. I'm extremely dissatisfied!

We were upgraded to a villa because they were overbooked on the rooms by the beach. While we complained at first and wanted to change, we decided otherwise and stayed at our villa for the entire 7 days as the villas are spacious and not far from the beach (great walking distance to everything). Food was mostly great and activities were varied and inclusive of most ages. Beach was clean and also presented a lot of options.

Great place we like it better than iberostar tucan. Not crowded at all. Nice rooms with pool view. Don't like the birds on the restaurants. They eat food right from the serving plates then watched other people eat from it.

If you are looking for a relaxing time on your vacation, this is NOT the resort I would recommend. The music on the beach is ongoing all day long, very very loud and is very very hard to relax. The beach area is limited to non-VIP people. If you go on the other side you get kicked out by the security. There is no personal space because the beach is unbelievably crowded and you have to get up early to get a spot. The beach itself is really nice!!! The rooms are ok. When we got to our room the floors were not cleaned/washed. The soap holder was broken. The soap bar was not replaced but instead left from the previous guests. The food was ok, nothing special. The dining rooms especially for the breakfast very crowded and at times you really have to stay in line for some time to get seated. As an overall, I would never go back and would not recommend this resort for anyone who wants to go and have fun on your vacation.

I have stayed at Sandos the last couple of years. The first year was great! The service was fantastic and the beaches were quiet and relaxing. We just came back a week ago and the experience was not the same. My AI band fell of the first day I was there. Needless to say, they charged me another 100 dollars. The first 4 days I had to return to the lobby because our room key was not working. On one occasion, I had to wait in line for over a 1/2 hour. I asked a manager if he could just scan me a new room key? He responded, by telling me I had to stand in line. I watched him for the next 1/2 hr stand there and do nothing. The beach experience is now loud with music and nonstop games. We come to Playa to relax and enjoy the beach. If we wanted beach parties, we would go to Cancun. At the main door, a man by the name of Iris will greet you. He helps with luggage and arranging transportation. Great guy with an awesome personality. Actually, you can say this about the whole general staff. It is upper management that is rude. Playa is a fantastic place, we will just being staying at different resorts this November and next spring. (This is the first review I have ever made....lot nicer now that I have waited I week....hope it helps people find the right resort)

The beach, which is key, is great: sand, no rocks, and it's deep enough at the edge of the swimming zone to submerge a grown man. The resort is catored to luxurious style, with all the conveniences one needs during vacation.
