I am a recent graduate of the University of Georgia's BFA program for Photography and am going to be returning to school at the Art Institute
of Atlanta in January 2012. My goal is to gain new skills in graphic design, as well as to refine the skills I have previously
gained through my photography education.
Rugby is probably the thing outside of photography I love the most: I played rugby with the University of Georgia's Women's Rugby Football Club throughout my time there and couldn't have asked for a better team or group of people to call my friends. They were my family away from home and I am truly appreciative of everything rugby has done for me. In general, I just like to be outside and engage in physically challenging athletics/activities.
Recently, I went on an internship to London and was working for a company called Double Take Studios in order to finish up my degree. Once again, I met a bunch of awesome people and learned a great deal about working quickly and efficiently to set up compelling shots with solid/interesting lighting situations for portraiture, as well as advanced digital editing techniques. Additionally, I got to travel around London, as well as take some weekend trips to other parts of the UK during my internship. I spent about a month after the internship touring mainland Europe. I love to travel, both nationally and internationally: I'm always down for a road trip. :)
I am always up for collaborating in creative projects and excited to be going back to school to finish off my education. I look forward to what the future has in store for me.
