Hello all my Okie friends. If you are an OG&E electric customer you can save money this summer! Go to the link below for more info. If you sign up, please list me in the referral section so I can get credit. Thanks!
Many of you know that I now work for Enogex, an OGE Energy company and they have asked us to spread the word about OG&E's new SmartHours program. SmartHours is designed to encourage you conserve electricity this summer during peak hours (2-7 PM Monday - Friday, June - Sept). In return you get less than half price power the rest of the summer.
Norman had smart meters installed two summers ago as a test and I was on the new pricing plan. We made a few adjustments to when we used power, waited to do laundry and run the dishwasher and turned up the thermostat a bit. Both years we saved a little less than $200.
Over the past year, almost every OG&E customer has had their meter replaced with a smart meter and almost everyone is eligible for the SmartHours program. Some people will even get a free programmable thermostat that will show the current price you are paying for power.
OG&E is certain that most people will save money that they guarantee it the first year. If you don't save money over the standard rates, they will credit your account the difference and you can go back to the regular rates for next summer.
