What is Tpumps?
  • Tpumps is a west coast based tea store that specializes in custom bubble tea drinks. Bubble tea is a freshly prepared Taiwanese Iced tea drink with tapioca pearls.
What's the fuss all about?
  • We pay attention to detail. We use freshly brewed premium tea. We use a high quality American flavor base with natural flavors and cane sugar. We have traditional and unique flavors. We custom make every drink to order. We spend over two hours on our boba. We add sweet honey to it and only serve it hot and fresh. Each small step adds up to a superior bubble tea drink with quality you can taste.
How did you get so popular?
  • Early on,  Our owner opened up a P.O. box and shipping shop in the front and bubble tea in the back. He spent everyday getting to know his customers by name and sharing his passion for high quality freshly brewed tea. Soon enough, his fans spread the word of his custom drinks and perfect chewy honey boba. Soon there was a line out the door and halfway down the block. Our owner still spends time with his crew and teaches them his passion for tea and how to invest in our customers. Most of our staff are former regular customers, so the whole team is happy to shear about their favorite drink or help with how to order. Between our premium ingredients and superstar staff we've made a lot of amazing Tpumps Fans.

Great boba tea place that is customizable. Expect a wait, even late into the foggy night. Sometimes they run out of boba, bur don't let that deter you from trying the teas!

I absolutely love this place, hands down the best boba tea I've ever had.

I LOVE TPUMPS!!! However, the line is freakin' ridiculous sometimes. I wouldn't wait over 30 mins just for boba, but hey, whatever floats your boat I guess. It's weird, they get crowds in waves. Customizable flavors (you can combine up to 3 and there are so many flavors - something for everyone!), customizable sweetness. The tea is brewed and it makes ALL the difference in flavor. Super refreshing, goes down smooth and bursting with flavor. The boba is also sweetened and always perfectly cooked.

One of the best tapicoa places in San Francisco, yet it is a bit overrated. The idea of a variety of flavor mixing and different toppings makes Tpumps different from other tapioca places. The passion strawberry mango black milk tea is one of my favorites, yet for any costumer, there can be an unlimited amount of combonations that can create a favorite drink.

So I'm not really into boba drinks but my fiancé is and always wants to go here. I have to say that the fresh brewed tea makes this taste good, and you can personalize your drink with sweetness, flavor, and types of tea. One of the biggest problems is the wait. I'm not going to wait 45 minutes for one of these, and the line is always super long.

I think what makes this place special is the fact that you can customize and mix flavors anyway you want. Besides that, I think it isn't worth the wait. When I went, it took about 1 hour for the entire process. What surprised me was that they use Torani syrups to flavor the teas and CoffeeMate creamer for the "milk" in the milk tea. The boba was really soft. So soft that they all stuck together. Overall, it wasn't bad but an hour wait isn't worth it.

It's good tea but the line is very long. If you've been to the one in San Mateo it's the same idea, but on Irving street. It's a way to kill some time with friends, not so good if you're just trying to grab and go, try the Teaway Express for that (and cheaper). Flavors are excellent, haven't hit a powdery or unpleasant one yet. Try combining things. I like strawberry passionfruit green, or mango lychee black tea.
