My Publisher Screwed Me
I ordered a book from My Publisher when they had a special offer of buy one get two for the price of one. I built my book. When it came to ordering it, I recalled that one I previously ordered a book with a special 2 for 1 offer and they did not honor it even after I complained. Telling me I inputted the code wrong and next time I should call up and have a staff member help me. So at 4:30PM on Nov 18th, I call and spoke to Al. Al figuratively held my hand through the entire process. I complained that the software asked me to keep entering the code GIFTBOGO many times. He instructed me that it is not necessary but to enter it once on a special page. When we got to that special pace he worked with me and I entered GIFTBOGO. Unfortunately, only one copy of the book was delivered. When I called to get the situation rectified, Danielle answered and kept me on hold for 14 minutes before telling me she would connect me to her supervisor. Nine minutes later he came on the phone only to tell me that I did not enter the code correctly even though Al was his staff member assisting me. Subsequently he refused to give me the name and phone number of his supervisor. In short My Publisher failed to keep their commitment.
