The British Science Association (formerly known as the BA) envisages a society in which people from all walks of life are able to access science, engage with it and feel a sense of ownership about its direction. The British Science Association is a nationwide organisation, with Branches from Cornwall to Aberdeen and Regional Officers through the English regions and in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Oxfordshire Branch of the British Science Association runs SciBar events on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Port Mahon Pub in St Clements. SciBar is literally science in a bar and is a free and relaxed event.
