I had a late lunch at New Delhi during the week so I had the entire restaurant to myself, which made me worried, but the food was fantastic. There are a ton of vegetarian and vegan dishes to choose form and they're well labeled on the menu as such. The portions are large, but I was a little disappointed that they charged me for extra rice (my dish was spicy!!). The decor is nice and grandiose and the service strives to meet the expectations of the surroundings by being very prompt and proper. However, even though I was the only person in the restaurant, I felt like I had issues getting a hold of my server to help me. I would much rather prefer to come here for dinner than the casual lunch I was looking for, but no disappointments either way.

It's hard to find a good samosa in SF but this is the best ones I've had so far. The decor of the restaurant is a little over-the-top but the staff are friendly and everything tasted delicious.

My favorite Indian restaurant in San Francisco. Chicken Tikka Masala is my go-to dish. Ask your server for a tour of the kitchen, they'll show you how they make the naan and they give you the naan they make during the demo.

I was left wondering why the waiter thought it was acceptable to serve everyone on our table while standing on my left, even the people to my immediate right, by stretching across in front of me. To make matters worse it was apparent when his arm pit was inches from my face that he had not bathed recently. We did not wish to have desert even though the portion sizes were quite small, but they thought that by asking us several times, delaying providing the check and asking us "are you sure" that we might crack and have a desert. Poor value, and disappointing etiquette, but plenty of empty tables so if everyone else is full I expect they will have availability.

My office held a meeting/mixer here and we all left very happy. The meeting was held between the lunch and dinner service, so we had the run of the place - which is a lot of space. The staff was attentive, but unobtrusive and kept us fed and hydrated without feeling like they were crawling down our necks. After the meeting portion, we had the bar reserved for us, which included house cocktails (yay lychee martinis) and more Indian nibbles. The juke box was also a hit. Great spot to get some work done, then try to forget about the work we just did. ;-}
