The creek from Sevier Park runs behind our property on Clayton Ave and overflows with hard rains, it actually starts flooding at the park and comes over the street causing our neighbors' houses to flood as well. It seems to be getting worse lately, most likely related to all the new development in 12 South including the new community center. Metro Water, Ricky Swift, says they understand our frustration but there's nothing they are willing to do to help. This last storm caused over tens of thousands of dollars worth of damages as it flooded our whole first floor. We are on the lowest risk flood area so for the city to act like they're not responsible and think it's okay for us to flood every few months seems absurd, especially when I have two little kids and a pregnant wife at home.

Apparently NBC Nashville did a story a few years back about this very issue. We didn't live here at the time but obviously the story didn't get the city to respond. We're at a loss!
