Cava Bodega is an authentic Spanish Restaurant located in Galway city. Cava Bodega is a great example of the international trend for good ethical casual food in a shared environment– with tapas, food is passed around the table, communal style, the dishes breed discussion and provide an alternative approach to eating.

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants in Galway and I have to say that Cava comes out on top. I've never had a poor quality dish here, and I've always tried something new. It's a must-have for pork lovers. Last week they did the catering at the Connacht Rugby Hospitality Tent and I've honestly never seen finger food get snatched up so quickly in my life. If you're not sure what to get, I recommend the pig's cheeks in apple sauce, pork bellies and above all else, the patatas bravas.

Very nice restaurant with lovely tapas and very good wine. The place and the cellar as great and the personal helpful. The price is a bit too high.

Very good food and service but become very expensive since they moved to new location. . potatas bravas for 5euros. A glass of wine 8 euros. That's put me right off . . .

Wonderful menu of a variety of Spanish cuisine. I'm a big fan of the tapas menu, and tend to stick to that every time I go. You can end up having a quite reasonably priced meal with a selection of tapas, or you can blow the budget and go for some of the more expensive options on that menu. It's wonderful to be able to tailor your dining to your budget in that way. It books out quite often, so ring ahead to reserve a table as I've been disappointed many times when I've stopped in on a whim. Don't expect to be able to walk in and have a table on the busier nights later in the week. I recommend checking out the many different sherries they have on offer too, not just their great wine menu.

Quality food. The service lets the place down a bit. But overall it's an excellent Spanish Restaurant.
