Introduction

Jamy Pombo Sesselman joined the WCVB.com/TheBostonChannel.com team in 2000, and has covered all of the region's major events from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to the death of Sen. Edward Kennedy.

Sesselman contributed to the site being awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for Best TV News Web site in the New England region in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012 by the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA).

The Web site was also recognized with national Headliner's Awards in 2009, 2011 and 2012, as well as the Associated Press award for best Web site in New England for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Sesselman researched and reported technology stories for "The Click," which aired on WCVB-TV starting in 2005. She also worked as a writer for NewsCenter 5 and was a part of Hearst-Argyle's "Healthy Kids" program.

Before joining WCVB, Sesselman worked as a sales and real estate agent in the Boston area and for U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

A native of New Jersey, Sesselman attended Boston University's College of Communication, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis on broadcast journalism. She was also honored with the National Honor Society Golden Key.

Sesselman lives in the Boston area with her husband, son and daughter.
