I appreciate this article's clarity and I am also very glad that abortable fetch has been designed in a way that doesn't ignore the concerns (action at a distance) that I and others in that mentioned github thread brought up.

In all, the design that landed for abortable fetch is only a bit more verbose, but I think it's a cleaner and more well-thought-out design. I appreciate you and others for sticking it out for 2+ years and giving us in the web community a good way forward.

For a more in-depth look at why mentoring gives developers skills and not just knowledge, better than other educational models: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/wanted-skills-just-knowledge-kyle-simpson

And finally, how DevGo's mentoring differs from other approaches to mentoring, and deeply addresses the needs of corporate development teams at scale: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/devgo-mentoring-modern-developer-kyle-simpson

Hot Take: TC39 and browsers refusing to implement tail calls in JS, while doubling down on 'class' and friends, translates to "Hey FP devs, find a different language to use."
